I wasn't into sports
and the social scene. For students like me there wasn't much to look
forward to in school. Mr. Albert introduced me to computers by
starting a computer club with 6 Commodore 64 computers networked
together. As a direct result of this, I became interested in
computers and programming and now teach computers and technology.
If the books sold in significant volumes because of the
stickers then all selected titles would sell in roughly
the same numbers. In fact one or two become huge
bestsellers and others do much less well.There may be many
reasons for this, but I'd suggest the strength of the
endorsement on the programme was a big factor, and with a
reduced audience there will be a big drop in sales from a
UKTV slot.

What's going on at my favorite vacation
resort? After
a
five-year period with a string of hit after hit, we seem
to be pulling back all of a sudden. Going back to 2003
(give or take), we've seen the introduction of: Mickey's
Philharmagic; Wishes Nighttime Spectacular, Mission:
Space, Soarin', and Expedition Everest. Most recently
we've seen the
rollout of Toy Story Midway Mania at
Disney's Hollywood Studios—another clear winner.
Then, in a four-week period, Walt Disney World made three
announcements of
cutbacks that can only be viewed as
negatives.
In late June, Walt Disney World announced the September 27
closing of Pleasure Island's clubs (read my article about
it here). The plan is to have the Pleasure Island we know
be replaced by additional family dining establishments and
shopping venues. While some believe this will eventually
become a positive for the Downtown Disney complex, many
more lament the loss of the clubs and their nightlife
atmosphere. Still more are saddened by the demise of some
truly unique Disney World entertainment establishments:
the Comedy Warehouse and the Adventurers' Club. There are
several ongoing campaigns attempting to save these
establishments but history tells us that the chances of
success are slim.
With July came the announcement by Walt Disney World that,
after a 10-year run, the live Pocahontas and Her Forest
Friends show at Disney's Animal Kingdom will close
(coincidentally) on September 27. There is no immediate
replacement being planned for the show's amphitheater. I
must admit that the response to this closing is
significantly less in volume than the Pleasure Island
uproar. While the Pocahontas show had its fans, it seems
that many more were less than wowed by it. I admit that
I've never taken the time to see it, mainly due to reading
or hearing a number of very mediocre reviews. That could
very well be my loss, but I can live with it.
I can find nothing in the Fantasmic announcement of any
additional entertainment planned to replace it. However,
the finale of the daily American Idol competition will
take place toward the end of the park day. Does Disney
expect American Idol to replace Fantasmic!? How? While the
American Idol theater is expected to accommodate an
audience of over 1,000, the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater
can seat 6,500 guests with standing room for an additional
2,500.
Why the cutback? By anyone's estimation, Fantasmic remains
a popular show that is nearly always at capacity. Many
arrive more than an hour ahead of time in order to get a
good seat. I've visited Disney World during some of the
historically slowest periods (January after the holidays)
and Fantasmic has been at or near capacity each and every
time I've attended. A second nightly show is often added
during the busiest times of the year.

My point is that many
‘experts' blame cancer on certain products such as
cigarettes. I don't believe these products actually cause
cancer though. A human should be able to damage cells and
the cells should regrow naturally regardless of how they
were damaged. It's how the body was designed. I believe the
cause of cancer is something deeper in the body that doesn’t
allow our bodies to always rebuild cells properly. Deeper
than what cigarettes or sun can touch. We’re all blaming the
wrong elements. The solution is not to stay out of the sun
and to not smoke. The solution is to find out what causes
our cells to become cancerous and target it.

This
site has been a wonderful blessing for my children and I. Before my
profile went out over the net, I know Gods hands were there guiding
me alone. As I looked at profiles, I was amazed at how many people,
just like me, were searching for that someone special. Than all at
once, there it was, a new message! And as I read his profile and the
words he spoke about his family, somehow I knew this was the man I
was waiting for.. As time went by and emails were exchanged a
friendship, like I had never known grew. In all good time, we meet.
Now a few months later, we still are growing in our friendship, and
building toward a common respect for each other.

How often have you ever cleaned out your car and then the
next day the messes in your car just piles up again?
Store a few plastic grocery bags in your cars glove
compartment or on the side pockets. You will never know when
they might come in handy to store stuff or to use as a trash
bag.
Keep a large towel and maybe a small towel in the trunk. You
will never know when you have to carry something that is
prone to spilling or is dripping wet. Messes will be easier
to clean up.
If there
are odors in your car, you can use
febreeze on the carpets or seats to
freshen up the scent of the car.
Keep a few large and small towels in case of large spills or
to place under something wet in your car.
Keep some tissues and wet wipes such as the antibacterial
ones in case of any small messes. Its very convenient when
you have something sticky on your hands.
Last if you really want to be a big car neat freak like me,
:) keep one of those small rechargeable vacuums in your car.
Make sure to recharge it every so often as needed. This can
guarantee that even the smallest crumbs will not be hiding
in your seats.

A couple
years ago, a friend of mine who thought I was in desperate need of a
social life created a profile on here for me. I admit I was pretty
skeptical about the whole thing, but figured why not.
Well, the night when my account was going to expire, I signed on for
what I said was going to be my last time. I noticed "Tim72" had
checked out my profile, and wasn't that far from me, so I sent him a
smile to test the water.

A year back I thought I'd try rock
climbing..wasn't for me. I used this equipment 2X, and it is all
literally like NEW. All bought from Mountain Equipment Co-op!
1) Harness = Rock Empire Peak Plus adjustable. Size is large (fits
70-88cm waist, 52-68 cm thighs) Black colour with orange and red
square detail. Comes with bag!
2) Shoes = La Sportiva Indoor/Outdoor climbing shoes. Good Italian
quality, blue and black in colour, yellow laces.
Size= I am a Women's 8.5....could fit a Men 6-8 or a Woman 7.5-9
These shoes have a great balance of support and sensitivity, and are
built for hard sport, trad, and gym climbing. They are slightly
curved and asymmetrical, and have a fairly flat toebox that will
make your toes relatively happy even when jammed in deep.
3) Arc'Teryx blue and green chalk bag with a chalk ball included! I
have also sewed a beautiful Canada flag on the side!
