after a shooting at an
Eastern Kentucky park.
Dispatchers tell us it happened Saturday afternoon at
Ramey Memorial Park, during the annual Founder's Day
Festival in Magoffin County.
We're told a man shot his girlfriend, Rita Holderby, after
the couple broke up.
Holderby was airlifted to St. Mary's Hospital in
Ashland.
Her condition is unknown.

I am attempting to solve two
coupled equations in two
variables, say x and y. The problem is that one of the
equations contains a term in dy/dx. There is no
'independent' variable per se. Both equations are quite
nonlinear are require numerical solution. The NSolve and
FindRoot functions will not work because of the
differential while the Dsolve or NDsolve will not seem to
work because of the lack of an 'independent variable to
input. Any suggestions on how to approach this problem?
The equations are quite complicated, but for example's
sake lets say that they are something like:
y + 1/y + dy/dx = 0
y = Log[y/(x^2(1-y))]
The actuall equations are algebraically far worse than
this and thus require numerical solution.

On the issue of veils, I asked the Turkish
hairdresser (happily married to a Greek Cypriot) and
his Muslim neighbours what they thought. They agreed
that Straw was right and that the veil did nothing
to help easy relations.
Many Muslim women would agree with that. Indeed,
this issue of the full veil probably only concerns
10,000 or 15,000 at most, of the 1.6 million British
Muslims, which is why most should not see Straw's
remarks as a challenge to their beliefs and way of
life.
Never having knowingly praised Jack Straw before, I
think it's worth saying that he showed a good deal
of courage in bringing this issue to the fore 前頭
and
that he handled it intelligently 聰明地.
We have a problem
with radicalized 激進的
Muslims in Europe. Do we ignore
what is going on and hope things just get better or
confront 面對
the minority and risk antagonizing 對抗
a much
larger section of Muslim opinion?

Her name is Sasha, and she's about 18 months old.
She is a good girl but I already have an OLD female Pitt/Lab and she
will just not adjust to the younger dog. Sasha belonged to my son
and he can no longer keep her. I tried and hoped that my old dog
would adjust, but she refuses. Sasha has a very good disposition and
is very freindly. Quite well behaved but requires a lot of
attention. She should be the only dog as this breed of dog seem to
not get along well with other female dogs. She is very acustomed to
cats and children. I hope to find a good home very soon, as if I
don't I will have to take her to the pound.
