I use whatever the
publisher/developer is calling it. If it's a registration
key, then I call it that. If it's a CD key, then I call it
that. Etc. If the company hasn't yet given it an official
name, then I'll
refer to 提到..

that is appropriate for a current discussion.

I have been gaming on
computers since 1989 when I was nine years old, and using
game keys since the early/mid 90's. I have come to
refer to them
as "the
software key" usually, though I might occasionally
refer to it
as the key
for whatever media it is (CD key, DVD key, etc). Since they
were using keys in Sierra games I played back before CDs
were used, and media changes gradually over time, "software
key" seems a good general term. "Product key" comes across
more as something that someone in a professional world would
use. I just refer to
it as
"software key" most often, though from time to time I might
use any of the terms mentioned.
